Reports say that the BMW X2 has been greenlighted for production in 2017. The X2 Sports Activity Vehicle has been rumored for years from a confirmed status to a canceled project many times in the past. BMW X2 will be built on the upcoming second-generation X1 which uses the front-wheel drive platform and will be powered by three and four-cylinder engines, in both petrol and diesel, with capacity ranging from 1.5 to 2.0 liters.
