Turner Receives BMW Motorsport Awards, New M4 GT4 Unveiled

BMW held their annual year-end season review in Munich. As every year, they are celebrating the success of the Motorsport racing achievements around the world. 

Turner Receives BMW Motorsport Awards, New M4 GT4 Unveiled

Turner Motorsport celebrated the Weathertech SportsCar Championship achievements with the new BMW M6 GT3. Other teams had success with more BMW models, such as the M235i and the M4 DTM.

Turner had two wins, three podiums, and eight top ten finishes in 2016, which brought the team to the eight place in the world ranking. Jens Marquardt, the BMW Motorsport Director, handed the award to Will Turner. As he was accepting it, Turner said: 

It is a fantastic feeling to be invited to this event for 16 years in a row now. I can’t believe all these years racing with BMW have gone by so quickly. I’m extremely happy with our results in our first season racing with the new M6 GT3 and I’m looking forward to continue that success into the future with BMW.

Turner Receives BMW Motorsport Awards, New M4 GT4 Unveiled

BMW Sport Trophy award went to Turner Motorsport driver Bret Curtis, who said: 

It’s a humbling experience to be recognized by BMW Motorsport and BMW Sport Trophy as one of their most successful drivers around the world. I am so proud of our season last year and the race wins in the new M6 GT3 and want to say thank you to everyone at BMW that helped along the way.

After the award ceremony, BMW Motorsport unveiled the new M4 GT4.
