There has been a lot of talk about the BMW X7 recently. We saw a lot of spy shots emerging and the rumors go that this car has a potential to be Bentley’s rival. However, we now have some new interesting information.
As we already saw in some spy shots, this new model is often compared to the BMW X5. What we now know is that the two vehicles will actually differ. Ian Robertson, who is the BMWs marketing director said: “There’s very little resemblance to the X5, so it’s not an extended wheelbase X5. It’s very different – we wanted it to have its own identity.”
What this means is that the renderings were wrong when presenting this model as similar toThe X5. Robertson said: “We will make a higher luxury version of it as well. So in the same way as you take a 7 Series and you bring in the Individual bespoke service as with Rolls Royce.”
The X7 will be the brand’s flagship luxury car. It will come above the 7 Series sedan. We’ll inform you when we have more details.
