The next Z4/Toyota project (Supra) will have a Turbo Six Engine

AutoMotor und Sport reports that new next Z4/Toyota project will have a turbo six gasoline engine.

BMW spokesman Kai Lichte was asked in an interview whether the hybrid powertrain is also used in the BMW, or whether the Z4 gets four-wheel drive. He says, it is “too early to talk about it. “First, we will have a six-cylinder, that’s for sure. Everything else comes later maybe.”

The next Z4 will be jointly developed with Toyota and BMW. One possibility is a Toyota hybrid and fuel cell expertise also to be used in the next Supra model. Toyota all-wheel drive Toyota Supra might be available as a hybrid drive system with a two-liter four-cylinder and 350 hp on tap for the next Z4.
