BMW did not specify which first “electrically powered performance” car would roll in 2021. However, this will more likely be the upcoming BMW i4. BMW X8 is also a possibility, but BMW announced the X8 as a hybrid. And “electrically powered” seems to point to an all-electric engine. Therefore, chances are higher for the i4.

Fans or not, we all have been waiting for the BMW i4. And it excites us to know that it might finally roll in towards the end of 2021. BMW M to unveil its first full-electric car has massive relevance to BMW as a whole. The BMW i4 will be BMW’s first genuine all-electric performance car as well. It will directly compete with the likes of Tesla Model 3 Performance and Porsche Taycan. Therefore, releasing the BMW i4 will secure the brand’s success in the industry.

If BMW i4 debuts towards the end of 2021, BMW talked about it during the press release. BMW hinted that the i4 would present a whopping 500 horsepower, with dual motors. It will also reach around 300 miles of range. It may also have the same power and battery size as the BMW iX. But we expect a lesser battery weight with a more aerodynamic package. Therefore, the i4 will be faster, have more range, and be a more fun car to drive.
