[World Premiere] 2018 BMW X3

We were waiting for the 2018 BMW X3 to debut for a while now. The last generation of this model came out in 2011 is far outdated by now. Though it’s a nice car, there’s no way it can stand next to its current competition, which includes the Audi Q5 and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class. So let’s see what’s the new X3 all about.

First of all, it features a brand new design language, including the interior design, new chassis, technology, and engine. As a matter of fact, it seems like the most thorough overhaul BMW has offered in a long time. We’re positive the customers will love it.

Though its design is not revolutionary, it’s still a completely new car. It looks like you would imagine a new BMW car to look like – bold and aggressive, with some of the brand’s typical design cues. The connected kidney grills were removed and it looks much better now, with separate units. The taillights on the back have been refreshed and take the new “L” shape, looking better overall.

As for the interior, it’s been designed with the driver in mind. The cockpit is ergonomically optimized and beautiful. The premium materials were used for flawless fit and finish. The new X3 also features more storage space and it’s easily accessible.

We see some exciting new features that the previous generation didn’t have. The future owners will enjoy the 3-zone automatic climate control, individually adjustable seats to fit all the needed luggage, front ventilated seats for the warm days, and a 9.8-inch longer panoramic glass moonroof.

The new and improved chassis and steering provide more dynamic, which is important as one of the biggest complaints about the previous-gen X3 was the steering.

The standard BMW X3 xDrive30i will feature a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot B46B engine, good for 248 HP and 258 lb-ft of torque. The promised acceleration time is 6.0 seconds for going from standstill to 100 km/h. We often mention much more impressive numbers, but this is actually great for a normal user.

The new 2018 BMW X3 should hit the dealerships in November this year. Prices will be released shortly before the launch.
