The new BMW 8 Series looks fluid and elegant, and even a bit futuristic. Compared to the 6 Series, it is shorter and wider, but also longer.
We see something new at the front – the kidney grilles made of one grille surround. The taillights at the rear have interesting geometric shape.
On the inside, the seats are wrapped in a carbon-fiber shell and we see plenty of aluminum details. The iDrive controller is made from Swarovski glass. It is, for now, a preview of the future infotainment systems which should be here in 2018.
Details about powertrain are still not available, but we’re guessing the engines might be similar to what the 7 Series is using – a 3.0-liter turbo six, a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8, and perhaps even a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12.
