The production of the first new BMW 5 Series models will begin in February, and they will start with 530i and 540i, at least for the U.S.

As for the BMW 530i, the users will be able to pick from two different options. They both feature a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, producing 348 HP and 258 lb-ft of torque. One comes with an all-wheel drive nad the other with the rear-wheel drive. Both have an 8-speed ZF gearbox.

The 540i will have a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder straight six engine and deliver 335 HP and 332 lb-ft of torque. It will also be equipped with the 8-speed automatic gearbox, and comes in two options – AWD and RWD.

For those willing to wait a month longer, BMW 530e and BMW M550i xDrive will be available starting March.
