In the heart of Jakarta, BMW Indonesia officially unveiled the seventh-generation, which offered in two variants – locally-assembled All-new BMW 530i Luxury Line and All-new BMW 530i M Sport. This latest generation of BMW 5 Series reinforces BMW’s domination in business sedan segment. The perfect balance between innovation, design, dynamism, and efficiency offers variety of enhancements with the signature BMW sheer driving pleasure. The all-new BMW 5 Series brings the most forward-thinking technologies, enhanced dynamics, line-up of assistance systems, an unmatched degree of connectivity and a new and innovative operating system. Important features including the new iDrive 6.0 system, new 10.25” touchscreen with enhanced user-interface, and varieties of driving features wil set a new standard for business sedan, as it has always done in the six previous generations.

A whole new range of improved engineering technologies will be exhibited, including a better power unit that produces greater energy, enhanced efficiency with lower emissions, and a redesigned structure for a more lightweight architecture.

Since its first introduction in 1972, the BMW 5 Series line has evolved into a versatile and dynamic business sedan. The seventh-generation now features further advancements in technical and technological aspects. The vast application of the BMW EfficientLightweight; a lightweight design concept, with increased use of aluminium and high-strength steels, reduces the weight of the 5 Series Sedan by up to 100 kilograms from that of its predecessor. The newly designed chassis has a low center of gravity, ensuring the presence of BMW’s hallmark even weight distribution and a lightweight body that results in a dynamic driving experience with the long-distance comfort for which the BMW 5 Series is renowned.

All-new BMW 530i line-up equipped with the BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder gasoline engine with double VANOS, High Precision Injection, and BMW EfficientDynamics technology, producing maximum output of 252hp with peak torque of 350 Nm. The BMW 530i surges from 0 ‑ 100 km/h in a mere 6.2 seconds. The car boasts high efficiency with fuel consumption of 18,2 km per litre with CO2 emission of 126g/km (based on UN ECE tests). Global Positioning System-connected transmission as well as Auto Start Stop feature adapts its response based on route and traffic to ensure high level of comfort during commuting.
