Ever since we found out that BMW is about to update both of its i cars – the i3 and i8 – we wanted to know more details about the new models. Recently, the i3 got its battery upgraded, and now the i8 is about to get a facelifted version.
The new i8 will be slightly more powerful. Its electric motor and a petrol engine will produce 372 HP combined, 15 HP more than the current i8. As the current car requires 4.4 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h, we can only expect the new one to beat this number.
A revised battery pack is a possibility for the updated i8. Also, expect some chassis modifications.
