BMW i8 With Upgraded Performance

There have been plenty of rumors of a BMW i8 S with increased performance, and the prototype has finally been spotted.

The photographer caught some obvious performance upgrades and we thank him for it.

The lap times are about to be significantly improved with the revised chassis and drivetrain. Some of the new parts are visible, such as a large front splitter and a rear diffuser for better downforce, and a revised carbon fiber rear window with air vents.

There are also AP Racing Brakes, 20″ ATS Racing wheels, increased ventilation and lots of tire width.

We have yet to see if all this will help BMW i8 deliver high performance on the road, or is it just a test bed for the new i8 Safety Car.
