The World Car Awards ceremony will be held on April 12 in Manhattan, which coincides with the opening of the 2017 New York Auto Show. Aside from the BMW 5 Series nominated for the top luxury car category, the new BMW i3 is also contending for the World Urban Car of the Year award.
The BMW i3 has managed to be a great urban car in the midst of all the EV headlines. The short range may be one of its weaknesses but if you live in a crowded city like New York or Chicago, it will not be an issue.
The BMW i3 will be up against the Citroen C3 and Suzuki IGNIS for this award. The Citroen is a cool-looking looking small hatchback. The Suzuki IGNIS is another quirky hatchback that caught the attention of the jury. The three cars will be battling it out for the most-coveted award.
