MINI Aceman SE Slips Into Ocean Wave Green For A City Sprint

The MINI Aceman SE has slipped into a fresh coat of Ocean Wave Green, and the little electric crossover wears it well. The shade plays up the car’s clean surfaces, short overhangs and planted stance. It is compact, upright and unmistakably MINI. City streets are its natural habitat.

Under the skin sits a single electric motor good for 218 hp. Power arrives the instant you brush the accelerator, with no gears to interrupt the surge. MINI quotes a WLTP range of up to 405 kilometres. That is enough for the daily commute and the weekend dash without a mid-week top-up.

Practicality has not been traded for style. The five-door body seats five and swallows a useful load through a flexible boot. So the Aceman SE can play family runabout one day and solo city car the next.

Step inside and a circular OLED display anchors the dashboard. It runs MINI Operating System 9, folding navigation, media and vehicle settings into one crisp, easy interface. The layout keeps clutter to a minimum, which suits the brand’s less-is-more instincts.

The result is a crossover that drives with real character while emitting nothing at the kerb. Ocean Wave Green simply makes the point louder. The MINI Aceman SE looks ready to dart through the rush hour and turn a few heads along the way.
