The MINI Cooper Oxford Edition has arrived to mark a proper milestone. It celebrates 25 years since the modern MINI first rolled off the line in Oxford. That city has been the beating heart of the marque since 1959, when the original car was born there. BMW Group revived production on the very same site in 2001. This special three-door wears all that history with quiet confidence.
The headline act sits right up top. A crisp Union Jack is worked across the white contrast roof, echoing the MINIs of decades past. A red and white stripe then threads the length of the bodywork, tying the whole look together. Buyers can choose from three finishes, namely Chilli Red, Indigo Sunset Blue and Blazing Blue. White mirror caps add a neat retro flourish.
Eighteen-inch Slide Spoke two-tone alloys give the hatchback a planted stance, and even the wheel hubs and valve caps gain bespoke touches. Step inside, and the flag theme carries on. A textured Union Jack sits at the base of the steering wheel. The driver’s floor mat wears a circular flag, while the passenger side nods to the brand’s racing past with a chequered motif. Unique door sills round off the cabin.
Two engines anchor the range, with the Cooper C and the warmer Cooper S both making the cut. This is classic MINI thinking, where personalisation counts for as much as pace. The brand has long treated every car as a blank canvas for its owner. Recent runs such as the Seven Edition and the Paul Smith Edition prove the point handsomely.

This global Oxford Edition is entirely separate from the long-running Oxford Edition sold in the United States. The names may rhyme, but the two cars do not overlap.
