The next generation BMW X3 just around the corner. This is why rendering artists have begun to have an idea of an X3M model. BMW has not confirmed any plans of building an X3M version, but there are rumors that they are considering an X3 35is model for evaluation purposes only.
The decision of whether of not an X3M version will push through will be largely based on the success of the new X3 when it is released. If it gets good response from BMW customers, the X3M will be a closer possibility — like what happened with the X5M and X6M models. The BMW X3 will be released late 2011. If in 2012 the sales turn out good, we can expect a greenlight for the X3M.
