[Spy Photos] Testing Rounds for the upcoming BMW 745e hybrid

Testing rounds have begun for the upcoming BMW 745e hybrid as the German automaker plans to refresh its plug-in hybrid lineup with a new model in 2019. This new model will be launched together with the BMW 7 Series Facelift (LCI). It will be a r eplacement to the current 740e and 740Le models and will offer a considerable amount of upgrades compared to the current iPerformance 7 Series model. It will have more power – 390 HP from a hybrid setup in particular. Under the hood we’ll get the same 2-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine while the electric motor will also get small bump in power. The batteries will be new and with higher energy density for a longer range. This model will also come with wireless charging capabilities so owners can charge their cars at home. These new photos show a black 7 Series test mule that has its entire front and rear ends covered in camouflage. So BMW is clearly making so decently sized changes to the face and rear of the 7 Series. It also signals a redesigned, sportier front bumper.
