CAR magazine, a UK publication, reports that BMW is planning to unveil an M8 supercar in 2016. Prior rumors said supercar plans were already cancelled by BMW but nothing is really sure as of the moment. The publication revives the rumors by saying that this will be a V8 twin-turbocharged engine powered, 600 horsepower supercar dubbed M8 and will be launched in 2016 to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of BMW. They said that M division boss Friedrich Nitschke has proposed for this vehicle to share the exotic carbon fibre and aluminum underpinnings of the i8 plug-in hybrid due in 2014, but there are no sources cited for this claim. For now, take this information with a grain of salt.
