Rapp Motorenwerke GmbH isn’t exactly a household name but its successor, Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW) AG, is world renowned.
In an effort to pay tribute to the company and its founder, Karl Friedrich Rapp, Dejan Hristov has created some renderings of a BMW Rapp concept to celebrate the brand’s 100th anniversary.
Looking undeniably aggressive, the Rapp is a two-seat roadster that has a forward slanting grille, ventilated front fenders and a low windscreen. The concept also has rear opening doors and a distinctive rear diffuser. Despite a number of retro touches, the Rapp is thoroughly modern as it is envisioned to have digital rearview mirrors and a pop-up roll bar.
According to Hristov, “The basic idea was to embrace the history of BMW [by] making this concept represent everything that BMW stands for as a company.”
