New BMW target after record sales

IT WAS a record breaking 2004 for German carmaker BMW AG in terms of unit sales, revenue and leadership in the premium segment across Asia, and this has led the group to set a new sales growth target of 10%-15% for Asia and 6%-9% globally for 2005.

For the first time in its history, global vehicle sales of the BMW brand breached the one million mark at 1.02 million.

They have also mentioned that the new models in the form of the sporty BMW M5 and BMW M6 are expected to make their way into the market by May and November, respectively. Several launches are also planned in Malaysia.
