The event celebrated several milestones this year, including Rolls-Royce’s 120th anniversary and Maserati’s 110th birthday. Attendees marvelled at Rolls-Royce’s finest models and Maserati’s most iconic vehicles. Additionally, supercars from the digital age and rare, forgotten automobiles drew significant attention, emphasizing the blend of heritage and innovation.

Saturday’s events at Villa Erba included “Wheels & Weisswürscht – Amici & Automobili,” a nod to the American Cars & Coffee events. This provided a relaxed atmosphere for participants and VIPs to appreciate the cars in an intimate setting. Sunday’s activities, open to the public, featured over 50 pre-1980 classics and futuristic concept cars, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere.

The event’s highlight was the Coppa d’Oro Villa d’Este award, which went to a McLaren F1 powered by a BMW engine. Tony Vassilopoulos from Great Britain presented the car, which received the highest number of votes from visitors. This departed from the traditional classic Concours winners, showcasing the event’s evolving nature.

BMW also revealed several new models and concepts, including the Concept Skytop, BMW R20 Concept, and the 20th BMW Art Car by Julie Mehretu. Rolls-Royce introduced the Cullinan Series II, while BMW M displayed the new M4 CS, M4 Facelift, i7 M70, and BMW XM. These presentations highlighted BMW’s commitment to innovation and design excellence.

The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2024 not only celebrated automotive history but also provided a glimpse into the future of car design. The event’s blend of classic and modern vehicles and its picturesque setting made it an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
