Check out the BMW 5 Series and Limited First Edition Release

BMW Romania celebrated the G60 model’s local launch at the global premiere of the new 5 Series. It by introduces the 520i variant as their main highlight. While unavailable in the United States, this base model will set the tone for the European and other markets. Dressed in striking Tanzanite Blue metallic paint, the 520i, forgoes the customary M Sport Package for a unique personality.

It goes beyond ordinary entry-level options, offering appealing optional features. The 520i showcases a captivating side profile with optional 20-inch wheels, night gold accents, and satin finishes on the kidney grille and window line. Notably, the embossed “5” in the prominent Hofmeister kink adds a touch of elegance to this eye-catching sedan.

Positioned between these options are the 520d with or without xDrive and the rear-wheel-drive-only i5 eDrive. The Touring model will join the Dingolfing-built business sedan in October. They will be offering various ICE, PHEV, and EV configurations in line with BMW’s “Power of Choice” philosophy.

While the 520i may be the base model, it delivers a satisfying blend of performance and luxury. With an acceleration of 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 7.5 seconds, this sedan is no slouch. It caters to buyers seeking comfort and advanced technology over outright speed on the racetrack. The 520i is equipped with a mild-hybrid 2.0-liter turbo engine producing 208 hp and 330 Nm (243 lb-ft) of torque. It deliverins power exclusively to the rear wheels via a newly developed eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission.
