BimmerToday reports that the BMW 7 Series, which recently underwent its mid-cycle facelift with a couple of visual and power upgrades, will probably launch with additional engines in early 2013. Rumor has it that BMW plans to launch two additional 7 Series badges in March of next year.
The first one is the rumored M Performance variant of the 7 Series, M750i, which is a luxury sedan with an aggressive look and sporty ride. Rumored engine choice is the V8 TwinTurbo with a 4.4 liter displacement and increased power output of 450 horsepower. The xDrive system is also a possibility.
The second one is rumored to be a 728i model with an N20B20 2.0 liter four-cylinder unit, likely assisted by an electric motor, offering increased performance and reduced fuel consumption.
For now, take these rumors with a grain of salt. BMW has yet to issue an official statement about this.
