BMW ALPINA B5 Bi-Turbo gets updated V8 engine with 600 horsepower

The ALPINA B5 Bi-Turbo EDITION 50 gets an engine upgrade. The powerful 4.4 liter V8 Bi-Turbo has been developed further, increasing output to 441 kW (600 hp) and 800 Nm of torque. The BMW ALPINA B5 Bi-Turbo Sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds, onto a top speed of 328 km/h. Combined consumption according to ECE Norm remains at 9.5 l/100km and 221 g/km CO2.

The ALPINA sport suspension with Adaptive Drive now comprises electronically adjustable dampers and active roll stabilisation. In combination with a limited slip differential, which is now also standard, the BMW ALPINA B5 Bi-Turbo offers even more dynamic handling and increased traction.

Standard equipment is now enhanced starting with the BMW full leather Merino upholstery, a leather covered instrument panel and elegant ALPINA Piano lacquer interior trim.

An optional lightweight titanium exhaust system by Akrapovic is now available to customer who are looking for a unique and distinctive V8 soundtrack. Compared to the stock exhaust, the Akrapovic-made system is 17kg lighter. An optional high-performance fixed-calliper brake system provides even more fading stability in extreme conditions.
