The programme spans extreme temperature swings, strong UV exposure, steep mountain gradients, dense city traffic, long motorway hauls, heavy rain, chilly mornings giving way to warm afternoons, and the complex road surfaces found region to region.

China throws up some of the most demanding real-world scenarios anywhere for electric motoring.
