For those of you who are interested to purchase the 2012 BMW M6 Convertible, you might want to check out the online configurator that just went live on www.bmwusa.com.
The M6 Convertible has a high revving 560 hp M TwinPower Turbo V8 under the hood, mated to a 7-speed M-Double Clutch transmission (M-DCT). 0 to 62 mph is achieved in 4.3 seconds while the spring to 124 mph (200km/h) takes only 13.1 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph (250 km/h). Official MPG numbers have not been released but BMW says it consumes 30% less fuel than its predecessor. The M-tuned chassis comes standard with Dynamic Damper Control (DDC) electronically controlled shock absorbers that can be adjusted with the touch of a button. Optional M Carbon-Ceramic brakes are also available, which are 42.8 lb (19.4 kg) lighter than the standard brakes.
The online configurator shows the M6 Convertible in the following standard colors: San Marino Blue, Singapore Grey, Black Sapphire, Mojave, Silverstone and Space Gray. The BMW Individual color pallet includes Citrin Black, Tanzanite Blue, Ruby Black and Moonstone.
