2011 BMW M3 now has Start-Stop technology

The latest bulletin that was sent to BMW dealerships that we reported yesterday contains important details about new BMW cars. One of the important changes that were included in the bulletin is the automatic start stop technology that will grace the 2011 BMW M3 models.

This technology was previously available for other models but not the M3’s. Now, this amazing technology from BMW’s EfficientDynamics strategy which shuts down the engine when the vehicle comes to a standstill or a complete stop. But when the driver steps on the gas pedal or puts the clutch, the engine is automatically activated again. This gives incredible fuel efficiency to the vehicle. The cool thing is, this function can also be switched off by pressing a button if you feel that you do not need it.
