LOOK: 2023 BMW XM Gets Wild Makeover from artists

BMW’s super SUV, the XM 2023, looks wild straight from the factory, but wait until the tuners get their hands on it. Meanwhile, freelance artists imagine ways to make Bavaria’s most powerful production car, the M model even more eye-catching through a series of makeovers. For example, this hypothetical add-on bundle makes the stock XM setup seem mild. The striking body packages sold by tuners like Mansory are a big reason they’re so popular. BMW, lest we forget, is hard at work on a version of its exclusive M model and it will debut as the Red Label sometime in the next year.

These images depict an XM that has been lowered to the ground and is adorned with forged carbon fibre body accessories and twin rear spoilers. Perhaps our inner child is speaking, but we must be brutally honest and say that the mutilated version depicted below is quite appealing. We expect that some XM drivers would choose to black out their cars for a more menacing look completely.

Since BMW won’t begin production in Spartanburg until December, we won’t see the first XM bespoke body packages until then. The German company wants to release the electric SUV this spring in the U.S., China, and the Middle East. The fall Red Label will be mostly black with red accents.

After seeing what the M2 could become with M Performance Parts, we can say those modest M vehicles are a thing of the past. While the impact of this audacious design strategy on sales has yet to be determined, keep in mind that 2021 was the M division’s finest year on record.
