BMW Fan Designed M Specials Built Only For South Korea

BMW has quietly approved a run of special-edition performance models shaped directly by enthusiast votes, but they will never leave one market. These bespoke versions of the M5, M2, X5 and X3 are destined exclusively for South Korea, where the brand invited local fans to choose their preferred design concepts and turn them into production reality.

The headline act is a vividly finished M5 that captured the most attention during the voting process. Its striking paintwork references past M icons and reinforces the saloon’s reputation for combining imposing road presence with serious performance hardware. Each example will be heavily specified, pairing its bold exterior with premium braking, advanced driver-focused systems and a cabin trimmed to echo the exterior theme.

Two limited-run M2 Coupes also made the cut, each distinguished by distinctive blue finishes that set them apart from regular production cars. Both versions retain the compact M car’s muscular stance while adding carbon fibre detailing, lightweight wheels and focused interior upgrades designed to underline their track-bred character without compromising everyday usability.

Rounding out the collection are more restrained takes on the X5 and X3, where exclusivity comes from subtle colour choices rather than aggressive visual changes. Built in strictly limited numbers, these fan-selected SUVs highlight BMW’s willingness to experiment with market-specific ideas, even if the rest of the world can only look on from afar.
