BMW Junior Team bags podium finish on NLS race in M6 GT3

Another success for the BMW Junior Team as they made it to the top at the Nurburgring Endurance Series (NLS) once again. The competitors put in an exemplary performance on the 8th round, with all three drivers landing into the top three. After four hours of racing, Neil Verhagen, Dan Harper and Max Hesse in their #44 BMW M6 GT3 beat out other experienced competitors in the Green Hell. The team showcased an astounding feat for such inexperienced racers.

For them, finishing 3rd in the first part of the competition is an advantage. With that, fighting for this place is the least they have to do. Although it is also difficult to keep this place, they were persistent. After the first match, they landed even in sixth place but they were persistent to get the podium. It was a close game. In fact, Hesse put tremendous pressure on the second-placed Audi in the closing stages. However, they had no chance to pass due to Code 60 zones.

Hesse claims that although the competition was a close race for them, they did not lose sight of their goal. In the last match, the Audi went faster. They almost had no hope of beating it from the Code 60 zone on the Doettinger Hoehe. They remain on top of their game and continue to try and overtake their rivals. After wins in races four and five and a second place in round 7, the BMW Junior Team takes the next podium place.

In addition, the BMW M4 GT3 competed in the SP -X class at the Nurburgring this past weekend due to its ongoing development. Eng and Farfus had to start after the SP9 cars due to this situation. As expected, the new car ran smooth in its second outing and fought its way forward step by step in the overall standings. Farfus finished fifth after four hours of racing with 86 seconds separated them from the from the first.
