Reviews of the new BMW M4 GTS are starting to come in.
Auto Express goes behind the wheel of the BMW M4 GTS and looks at the value of the car and if it is worth what BMW is charging for. They take it to Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona and notice immediately the chassis improvement and the new suspension that allows for the adjustment of the car’s height. The efforts to make this a track-worthy vehicle has also paid off. The weight reduction, Alcanatara covered steering wheel, the bucket seats, and harness – it definitely feels like it’s made for the track. Performance wise, it allows the driver to speed up in corners. The communicative and direct steering, they say, is very impressive and allows for better control of the power delivered by the strong 3.0-litre 6 cycle turbo engine.
After driving it and calculating, Auto Express says that this might cost double the price of the standard car but you are getting what you paid for. The BMW M4 GTS’ ability on the track is remarkable. The performance cannot be faulted and BMW M Division did not disappoint with this one. With the exclusivity that comes with it, ultimately, the magazine says that the price is fair.
BMW Blog also took a stab at testing the BMW M4 GTS and fails to find any fault. Visually, it surrounds you with Alcantara leather, aluminium and carbon fiber. You feel that you are in a race car with the straps and the bucket seats but it is more than just the feeling: it is the drive. The steering is great and the water injected engine delivers what seems to be a very ambitious performance.
The only problem with this car, they say, is that you cannot buy it anymore as all 700 units have been sold.
