BMW.SG At the M8 Reveal

During the BMW M-Festival over the weekend, BMW.SG were treated to not just one but two awesome automotive reveals, the biggest (and most surprising) of which i’m sure you fans will all by now is the unveiling of the BMW M8 only a few days after the 8 Series was shown off at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

You’ve read the press release, you’ve seen the pre-launch videos, now here are our own video and pictures from the reveal.

We managed to grab hold of Frank van Meel, CEO of BMW M, to ask him if a V12 will ever be coming to the 8 Series or 8 Series M and though they did not gave us a definite answer, they did smile and say the new M flagship will have an engine with “sufficient” power. With BMW always underpromising and overdelivering on their power figures, we do wonder what “sufficient” means for their latest powerhouse.

In the meantime, it won’t be long before the 24hrs of LeMans comes along and with the M8 GTE race car in development for BMW’s comeback on the most glamorous endurance race of all, BMW racing fans will finally have something to cheer on. 2017 looks to be an exciting year for #TeamBMW!
