[Video] LCI Update for the 6 Series Gran Turismo

The 6 Series Gran Turismo, also known as the “G32,” may not be a popular car, but it’s worth taking a closer look. This luxury vehicle is a great alternative for those who want something practical, but don’t want an SUV or a Touring model. 

The 640i xDrive, which was updated in mid-2020, has plenty of power with its inline-six engine that delivers 258 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. It can go from 0 to 62 mph in just six and a half seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph.

It’s been a while since the 6 Series Gran Turismo has seen a redesign, and unfortunately, it won’t be getting a next-generation model. Instead, it will be phased out after the release of the new 5 Series later this year. This is in line with the trend of automakers moving away from niche models and focusing on building more SUVs.

The 6 Series Gran Turismo is made in Dingolfing, Germany and also in India at the Chennai Plant. With the Life Cycle Impulse update, all four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines received mild-hybrid technology.
