This latest iDrive iteration introduces BMW’s first-ever panoramic display, promising a reimagined approach to safety, driver-centric functionality, and customisation. Although details remain under wraps, hints from BMW’s Vision Neue Klasse concept suggest a sleek, full-width display seamlessly integrated at the base of the windshield. The previewed design aligns with an angular infotainment screen and a steering wheel layout that could redefine cabin ergonomics.

While the finer aspects of the panoramic display remain speculative, the technology’s inclusion in both sedan and SUV Vision Neue Klasse concepts suggests a bold step toward production-ready features. The system is expected to bridge futuristic aesthetics with practical usability, further enhancing BMW’s signature focus on user-oriented innovation.

The CES event, scheduled for January 7th, will feature notable BMW leaders, including chief development officer Frank Weber and design head Adrian van Hooydonk. Together, they’ll unveil the tech that will debut in the next-generation, all-electric iX3, set to launch next year. By 2026, a sleek Neue Klasse sedan will join the lineup, with several other models planned to expand the range in the years to follow.

This showcase signals BMW’s continued evolution in harmonising cutting-edge technology with luxury automotive design, positioning the Neue Klasse series as a glimpse into the future of mobility.
