The 2011 BMW 5 Series Touring was just introduced last month. The noticeable characteristics of the new BMW 5 Series Touring is its design. It has individuality, proportions, and exterior dynamic design. The overhangs are short, but both bonnet and wheelbase are long. Coupled with its steeply inclined roofline, the new BMW 5 Series Touring spells true BMW elegance.
If we add the cargo capacity of 560 litres, we will be impressed with how useful this is. If you need even more cargo space, the rear seats can be folded so the Touring can accommodate a maximum of 1,670 litres. This car is also amazingly lightweight, due to the use of aluminum.
For efficiency, the new BMW 5 Series Touring can be purchased with BMW’s eight-speed automatic transmission as an option. BMW EfficientDynamics is also used to improve brake energy regeneration, Auto Start Stop function (BMW 520d), gearshift point indicator, demand-dependant ancillary components and active air flap control.
