The BMW 540i sedan gets a big power boost to kick things off. From 245 kW/333 HP, the power output is increased by AC Schnitzer to 400 HP. A similar tuning process was performed on the top M550i model, which now produces 456 kW/620 HP, up from 390 kW/530 HP previously. Upgrades to the diesel engines’ efficiency are still being worked on.

For the exhaust, AC Schnitzer offers a dual stainless steel sports exhaust system with two chromed or black “Sport” or “Carbon Sport” tailpipes and optimized sound for all petrol models. With AC Schnitzer “Quad Sport” and “Quad Sport black” tail trims, diesel models can be upgraded purely visually.

The ride quality has also been improved thanks to the AC Schnitzer suspension spring sets, which allow for a front/rear drop of approximately 25–35 mm compared to a regular car. They’re available for all models as well. AC Schnitzer has once again delivered a new set of wheels. The AC3 FlowForming wheels are available in 21-inch sizes in BiColor Silver/Anthracite or Anthracite. In addition, the range includes AC3 Lightweight Forged Rims and AC1 Alloy Wheels in a variety of colors up to 20 inches.

M Sport Package

The BMW 540i also comes with the M Sport Package. The AC Schnitzer rear roof spoiler, rear spoiler, or Carbon Racing rear wing gives sedan drivers a racing feel. A rear roof spoiler is also available for the Touring, which produces additional downforce. For all models, rear skirt safety foils and emblems in different sizes and colours round out the collection.

The interior of the 5 Series gets a sportier look than the regular models. Thanks to the AC Schnitzer aluminium gear shift paddle kit, pedals, and matching footrest, the “Black Line” aluminium cover for the BMW iDrive controller, and the AC Schnitzer key holder.
