There’s soon going to be the next i Division car and it’s expected to be fully autonomous. BMW is turning towards the auto cars more and more, and now they are building the Autonomous Testing Center in Munich.
In order to focus on the development of such car, the new test center will be built. It will employ around 2000 people who will work with both hardware and software within the facility.
If we know something about BMW fans, it is that they love actually driving their cars. Still, the company can’t simply ignore the autonomy trend that’s going on in the world, otherwise they would lose the competitive advantage.
We’ll have to wait and see what’s cooking in the BMW headquarters for the near future.
