The Z4 needs a revival. For some reason, the following of this premium roadster has significantly decreased. Despite a very-well received design and ride quality, the Z4 sales worldwide totaled 15,249 units in 2012. The preference of the consumers have shifted to other cars in the BMW family and some are choosing to buy lower priced units from the competitors.
Latest news strikes a ray of hope to the great Z4. BMW boss Norbert Reithofer makes an interesting reference to the Z4 and the possibility of having a successor in an in an interview with Auto Zeiting. “If the Z4 has a successor, it could be part of a new sports car architecture from BMW, †said Reithofer.
Can there be a possible successor? Nothing has been confirmed yet and if there is, it may utilize the new platform and help reduce costs and create a relatively lower price point for the premium roadster.
