BMW 1 Series Hatchback family joins the BMW Individual Catalogue

Starting from September 2021, the front-wheel-drive BMW 1 Series will be joining the BMW Individual Catalogue. The BMW Individual offers a wide range of colour schemes for the 1 Series models. The pricing may vary by market, but a specialized paint in the United Kingdom will cost around 3,500 British Pounds.

The BMW Individual configurator for the 1 Series is now available, and the colour selections are rather intriguing at first glance. You can pick classic colours such as Dakar Yellow, Imola Red, Rosso Corsa, LeMans Blue, Daytona Violet and Fire Orange. The new paintworks include Urban Green, Miami Blue, Mexico Blue, Verde Mantis, Ametrine, Zanzibar, Macao Blue, among others.

There is a hue for everyone, and if money isn’t an issue, your ultimate decision may be more difficult than you think. As rumoured, the next-generation G87 M2 will be joining the BMW Individual program, along with the 1 Series. That indicates the next 2 Series will most likely follow a similar path.

This is a fascinating initiative by BMW and one that customers have been requesting for years. It opens the door to some innovative 1 Series models while also bringing in more revenue for BMW. Of course, certain changes to the production lines will be required, but the long-term benefits will outweigh the expenses.
