Though it will take a few more years before the next generation BMW X6 launches, car magazines from different countries are already starting to imagine what it will look like. This is one example of a futuristic rendering:
When this third generation Sports Activity Coupe is launched in 2021 and, it is expected to have a fresh design and new technology. This is the trend in all refreshed models launched by BMW.
Weight saving will also be a goal. The new X6 will be lighter than its predecessor. The current F16 X6 weighs around 2100 kilograms. To weight significantly less, the new one’s body will be made of aluminium, steel and carbon fiber.
The new technologies will include autonomous functions like the ones found in the new 7 Series.
The look is expected to have a more daring design while keeping the current proportions. This rendering is quite futuristic because it features an oversized kidney grille with the 3D-sculpted chrome edge and slimmer laser light design with daytime running lights integrated in the upper part of the front bumper.
Test mules will hit the road in 2018, so take this rendering with a grain of salt.
