2025 BMW M3 CS Touring Spied at Munich

The automotive world is getting its first glimpse of the 2025 BMW M3 CS Touring. This high-performance model enhances the iconic 3-series lineup with a go-faster, pumped-up version. Following the successful formula of the M3 saloon, the new variant comes in the esteemed CS spec, marking BMW’s first foray into an M3 estate car. Fresh spy photos captured in Germany show that this wicked wagon remains true to its roots.

Spotted undergoing tests in Germany, the M3 CS Touring is slated to debut in late 2024 or early 2025. The five-door estate is anticipated to follow closely in the engineering footsteps of its saloon counterpart, the BMW M3 CS, which saw its price surge from £84,000 to £116,000. Consequently, the estate version is expected to start at over £120,000. Under the hood, it retains the powerful S58 straight-six petrol engine, enhanced with twin turbochargers that elevate its output from the regular M3’s 503bhp to 543bhp—or a neat 550 metric horsepower. The vehicle will also refine the eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system.

In addition to mechanical upgrades, expect modest weight-saving measures. These include incorporating carbon fibre weave in select body panels like the front fascia, rear diffuser, and spoiler to shave off some weight. However, unlike the CS saloon, the wagon is reportedly not receiving a carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) roof.

The new 2025 BMW M3 Touring CS, part of the G81 family, is rumoured to have a production limit of approximately 2,000 units. Given the quick sell-out of the CS saloons in the UK, this model is likely to be highly sought after. Potential buyers should look for exclusive features such as a special CS colour palette, carbon fibre bucket seats designed for high-speed cornering stability, and unique alloy wheel designs.
