The BMW M3 has reached a milestone few sports saloons ever manage, and to mark four decades of the badge, BMW M has joined forces with LEGO for a proper knees-up. The celebration takes place on 1 August 2026 at the Alte Münze in Berlin. Doors open from 10:00 to 20:00 CEST, and admission is free. It is a one-day affair built around cars, bricks and genuine motoring heritage.

At its heart sits an immersive playground designed for grown-ups and children alike. This is not a static display behind ropes. Visitors get hands-on space to play, wander and lose track of time. BMW M has pitched the day as much for lifelong petrolheads as for newcomers discovering the M3 for the first time.
Four interactive rooms trace the model’s story, walking guests through all six generations of the M3. The undisputed star is the M3 E30 showcar, dressed in a bespoke livery penned jointly by BMW M and LEGO. It is revealed against a striking 20-metre LED wall, a fitting stage for the car that started it all back in 1986.

There is plenty to keep hands busy, too. Creative stations let guests assemble their own LEGO keychain to take home. Sound plays its part as well, with the Ultimate Sound Machine supplying the soundtrack and giving the whole venue a fitting soundtrack of engines and energy.
Four decades in, the M3 remains the yardstick for the fast four-door, and this Berlin gathering is BMW M’s way of saluting that legacy in style. Bring the family, build a brick or two, and stand nose to bonnet with the machines that shaped the M story. It promises to be a memorable day for anyone who loves the blue, purple and red roundel.
