Fifth Gear puts BMW’s M3 Coupe with Competition Package and the C63 AMG with Performance Package from Mercedes on a head to head competition on drifting and speed. BMW E92 M3 Competition Package has a highly responsive chassis, thanks to a 10mm lower suspension and 19” wheels with greater offset for a wider track and Remapped Electronic Damping Control and Dynamic Stability Control systems. Its naturally aspirated, high revving 4-liter V8 is capable of 414 horsepower and peak torque of 400 Nm at 3,900 rpm. The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG with Performance Package Plus chose to increase the horsepower to 487 hp, and an AMG high-performance braking system featuring composite technology on the front axle.

Who wins? The Mercedes C63 AMG Performance Package Plus may have more horsepower, but the BMW E92 M3 Competition Package offers better handling and better overall driving experience.
