New BMW X3 eDrive to Come in Late 2018

The i Series is not the end of BMW’s plans for the electric vehicles; it’s just a small part. Next stop is the BMW X3 eDrive which will arrive in late 2018, and after it, full-size, as big as 3 Series, electric cars are possible.

Harald Krueger, the BMW CEO, has recently announced the new plans the company has for the electric vehicles. They include and X3 which will be, for the first time ever, powered by electric batteries.

The plug-in hybrid BMW X3 is a realistic option that will probably come alive in around two years. The goal is to create a hybrid car which is a mainstream option for the average customer. The price will follow this philosophy, so the car shouldn’t be as expensive as some other plug-in hybrids from BMW (X5 xDrive40e and 740e).

It’s expected that it will deliver over 200 miles on a single charge, with the latest recharging technology for faster charging.
