Rumor has it that the blurred out vehicle featured in the video teaser that BMW M released last week is the first ever M diesel car: the BMW X6 M50d. Sources that this vehicle will run from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.9 seconds and will deliver 381 horsepower and 545 lb-ft of torque (740Nm) powered by a tri-turbo six-cylinder diesel engine. This engine will deliver a very low fuel consumption of around 6.3 liter per 100 km, or nearly 38 MPG. CO2 levels are 165 g/km. BMW insiders report that the internal code for the BMW X6 M50d is FH81 and production will begin in April 2012.

None of these rumors have been confirmed by BMW or the M division yet so kindly take them with a grain of salt.
