Photos and Facts – BMW i8 Spyder

BMW i is presenting the second variant of the 2+2-seater BMW i8 Concept hybrid sports car just a few months after it was revealed to the public. The Spyder Concept is a 2 seater, open top variant with the same architecture but more eye-catching because of its design. The upward-swivelling, windowless doors are the highlight of the exterior. The BMW i8 Concept Spyder has a slightly shorter wheelbase and overall length compared to the coupe. It allows for an open air driving experience. The headlights are powered with pioneering laser light technology. It also has a planned two-section folding roof that makes the car flexible for any type of weather, a visually imposing rear diffuser, three-dimensional air outlets and the U-shaped rear lights, transparent rear cover revealing the two folded electric kickboards stowed below, kickboards perfect for relaxed driving, short front and rear overhangs.
