BMW issues recall for 2011 ActiveE vehicles in the U.S. due to bad drivetrain housing

BMW issued a recall this month on certain 2011 ActiveE models in the USA for a potential problem that could leave the cars stranded. BMW determined that there are 360 2011 ActiveE cars that do not have sufficient sealing between the electric motor and transmission. The result could be premature wear to the connection between the two and could cause loss of propulsion.
