BMW Group Asia highlights danger of scam emails

Visit this link logo.jpg”>Singapore. 18 November 2010 | Following a spate of bogus emails, BMW Group Asia would like to underscore that it does not offer cash prizes or BMW nor MINI cars as part of free prize draws. An email entitled ‘BMW Car International Promotion Program’ is not a bonafide BMW Group campaign, and the entities ‘BMW Lottery Department UK’, nor ‘The BMW International Awareness Promotions’ have no relationship whatsoever with the BMW Group nor with BMW Group Asia and we have no relationship with the people responsible for issuing the notices.

Erin Atan, Corporate Affairs Director, BMW Group Asia, said: “We are aware that there are a number of similar emails in circulation and we are currently investigating how to prevent those responsible from using BMW’s name in such a way. We advise anyone who receives the email not to enter into correspondence with the sender.”
