BMW X1 gets a vibrant Blue Bay Lagoon color option

BMW has recently released a new color option for the 2023 X1 model, called Blue Bay Lagoon. This vibrant blue shade can only be found on the first-ever electric X1. It is currently only available in Germany as an Individual color for an extra €1,200. In addition, it also features the optional xLine package, which includes silver accents for the front and rear skid plates, and the side mirror caps and skirts.

The BMW X1 also offers a variety of other color options, including Phytonic Blue, Portimao Blue, Storm Bay, San Remo Green, Cape York Green, Utah Orange, and Frozen Pure Grey. Inside, buyers can choose from a black Alcantara option, red/black leather, or dark brown Mocha leather.

The X1 comes standard with 20-inch 869i style wheels, and the inside features perforated Sensatec in mocha color. The car also comes with the iDrive 8 system, which includes a large curved display and no iDrive controller. The X1 offers ample legroom for rear passengers and a generous cargo volume behind the seats.

Currently, BMW is only offering the iX1 as an xDrive30 model with dual motors. It delivers a combined output of 313 horsepower and 364 pound-feet of torque. This allows the car to reach 62 mph in 5.6 seconds. However, it is believed that a more affordable, single-motor variant will be launched in 2023 with front-wheel drive and less power.
