The new BMW iX in Sport Guise

The BMW iX electric vehicle has not been seen much on public roads compared to other BMWs. Usually, we can see its photos in marketing portfolios and BMW presses. It is new and quite refreshing to see the new BMW iX outside without the glossy look. BMW UK showcases images of the new BMW iX coated in Aventurine Red color in M Sport.

Available exterior colors for the BMW iX are in Alpine White, Sophisto Grey Brilliant Effect metallic, and Sapphire Black metallic. Moreover, other colors are Mineral White metallic, Blue Ridge Mountain metallic, and Phytonic Blue metallic. Get your iX in a more classy look with the BMW Individual Storm Bay Blue metallic and BMW Individual Aventurine Red metallic. Expect more colors from the BMW Individual program made available for the iX after its launch. BMW reserves high-end BMW Individual finishes exclusively for top-of-the-line Signature Sports Package trim lines.

The new iX will be more aggressive in style with the Sport Package high-end trim. Its Sport Package includes a high-gloss black coating for the lower edge bordering the body. It also has a black coating for the side skirts and door handles. Other inclusions are the special triangular shields for the Air Curtains and smoked-glass tail lights. It also comes packed with calipers in blue paint and 21-inch Aerodynamic Wheels in Midnight Grey finish.

Moreover, the BMW Individual Exterior Line Titanium Bronze in the Sport package adds modern refinement to the iX. Its Titanium Bronze accents enhance the door handles and the lower edging of the side windows and rear apron. It also paints the 3D structural elements of the kidney grille.

Expect the BMW iX xDrive 40 and xDrive50 models to arrive in late 2021. The standard iX packs 300 horsepower and a 70 kWh battery that ranges 400 km. BMW claims an acceleration at about six seconds from 0-60 mph with the xDrive 40. Furthermore, the iX xDrive 50 produces 500 horsepower with its two electric motors split among two axles. Its battery pack is more generous than 100 kWh.

The large battery of the iX will be having a 600 km range on the WLTP-cycle. Moreover, BMW claims a 300 miles range for the U.S. The iX xDrive50 is said to have under five seconds of acceleration in 0-60 mph. The acceleration is yet unspecified.

Rumors about the top iX variant named “iX M60,” will likely arrive from 2022 to 2023. However, details as of now are unknown. Even so, BMW will surely aim to ace the game with the new BMW iX.
