It’s still unknown if the new BMW 1 Series hatch will continue being the 1 Series model or change to 2 Series in 2018. However, we already know (or can guess) some things about its design and construction. The final product is expected to be more premium than the current model, and slightly larger as well.
The 1 Series Hatchback will use the UKL front-wheel drive platform which can be seen in the current MINI models and 2 Series Gran Tourer and Active Tourer.
The engine will likely be the four-cylinder turbo and have around 330 HP.
